JUAN ANTONIO GIL (JAGG)

ES // Nace en S.Spiritus, Cuba en 1973.

En 1989 en La Habana, cursa estudios de música en la Habana (ENIA) y de Guitarra Clásica en la escuela nacional de arte (ENA).En 1996 se gradúa obteniendo los mejores resultados.

2003 Cantante Solista de la Bigband „Conexión Latina“ Actuando en Festivales Europeos de Jazz y Worldmusic. Clasics Openair (Alemania), Festival de Salsa de Luzern y Burghausen Jazz Festival (Suiza) Africa-festival (Alemania).

Desde el 2005 hasta 2010 formó parte del Trio Exéntrico-musical „Paul Morocco & Olé“, donde aportó su talento musical y composiciones propias, presentándose internacionalmente en numerosos teatros y programas televisivos.

2012 graba su primer álbum como cantautor “CURBANO”.
En 2012 Presentación de “Curbano” en el 9no Jazz Voyeur Festival de Palma de Mallorca. En 2013 realiza varios conciertos en Cuba, Bélgica , Miami y en España.
“CURBANO” Es Nominado como mejor Albúm en la categoría “Canción Contemporánea Cubana” en la feria internacional Cubadisco 2014.

Del 2017 al 2018 colabora como compositor las producciones “ADN” (nominada Mejor Albúm de Salsa Latin Grammys 2018) de Alain Pérez (Cuba) temas populares SHORCITO, CON CORBATA Y SIN CABEZA y LLORARÉ (interpretado a dúo con Omara Portuondo).

2019 Mr 305 Records Miami saca su tema YAYO interpretado por Papayo, Ki-many Marley y Pitbull.

También en este año, se desempeña como compositor con Alain Pérez en el álbum “El Cuento de La Buena Pipa” los conocidos temas, MODO AVIÓN, A MI NO ME IMPORTA y SIN LUZ Y SIN AGUA

En producción independiente saca su single “EXTRAORDINARIO” producido por Dany „Labana“.

2020 Publica sencillos YO HE VISTO y POSITIVO feat. Alain Pérez.

2022 Sencillos LIBERTAD ¡YA! producido por Dany „Labana“ y TU ALEGRíA, esta última canción producido con Jorge Gómez Jammusic en Miami.

From 2005 to 2010 he was a member of the Music & Comedy Trio „Paul Morocco & Olé“, where he contributed his musical talent and his own compositions, performing all over the world.

In 2012 he recorded his first album as a singer-songwriter „CURBANO“.

In 2012 Presentation of „Curbano“ at the 9th Jazz Voyeur Festival in Palma de Mallorca. In 2013 he performed several concerts in Cuba, Belgium, Miami and Spain.

„CURBANO“ is nominated as best album in the category „Contemporary Cuban Song“ at the international fair Cubadisco 2014.
